Children Of The Rising Sun is a tracked metal project initiated by me (Malekith) in December 1999. From a single song (Light & Shade), it grew to an EP, then to a full disk, and I took almost 10 months to compose and write it. Cadaver sung the tracks, and then I suspended the project because of lack of inspiration and time. Two songs from the disk were released : Holy Forest, in July 2000, and Oath Of The Brave, in May 2001. The disk almost didn't progress until Summer 2002 ; then, having more spare time again, I decided to finish the project, strongly encouraged by Cadaver :) He sang the vocals once again, with much more aggression and raw power, and we began remixing the songs. Since I got heavily involved with band projects, I agreed to let Cadaver finalize and release the disk. The result can be found here...
Stylewise, this disk features sharp, straightforward riffing with heavy orchestrations and raw aggressive vocals. I'd say it's mostly influenced by old Rhapsody, Grave Digger and Atreus-era Virgin Steele with some atmospheric passages added, and more thrashy influences here and there. This disk's lyrics contain a conceptual story, which is not really an usual "childish" heroic-fantasy tale like in such albums, but rather the symbolic story of four young knights who decide to fight the corruption and invasion of their land caused by mankind's lust for domination, personified by a powerful occult master.

On a personal note, I'd like to thank everyone on the Metalscene for their patience, and especially Cadaver for his extreme effort finalizing this disk in three days and re-doing his vocal parts countless times... Undoubtly, without him, that disk would never had seen the light :)
Enjoy!
